A to Z Challenge 2019: O is for Oscar Mayer



Okay, I am not a brand person really. We mostly buy whatever fits the price. The reason for the Oscar Mayer post is because they sponsor my favorite NASCAR driver, as of the beginning of 2019, for part of the season.

Racers have a variety of sponsors. Many minor ones and a few major ones. Drivers can change teams every few years, or even more frequently. This also means many sponsor changes. Oscar Mayer is one of the major ones, meaning they get to deck out the car. In this case, it's orange.

Yes, we've had Oscar Mayer hot dogs and Oscar Mayer bacon. I've also seen the Wiener Mobile, but that was long ago. Anyway, my favorite NASCAR driver is Ryan Newman, and now Oscar Mayer is one of his sponsor for 2019. I've been a fan of his since 2002, and I have met him in person.

I have not had Oscar mayer anything in several decades. Just not into anything with nitrates...hurts my head severely.
