About Alexandra Heep:

Alexandra Heep is a longtime writer, chronic over-thinker, and recovering content mill survivor. Her work has appeared in literary journals, anthologies, and online platforms where words are still respected. She writes children’s books, health reflections, and the occasional blog post laced with humor and hard-won honesty. After years of illness, detours, and navigating the noise of modern wellness, she returned to writing with the firm belief that stories—like people—don’t have to be perfect to matter. She publishes under multiple pen names and drinks more goat milk than you’d expect.

Favorite Movies Blog Hop

(hosted by Alex Cavanaugh)

I am not really into movies because I find it very challenging to find something that interests me. I am very picky when it comes to story lines, plots, etc. I hate special effects, rapid movement etc because I have to cover my eyes as to not go into a bout of vertigo, seizure type stuff, whatever. And, weirdly enough, going into a movie theater always gave me motion sickness, even before having health problems. However, I can't resist a blog hop or any kind of top ten, top five, top 20 lists etc. I might not even have ten top movies, but I'll give it a try (in no particular order)

Kelly's Heroes
It's a Wonderful Life
Almost Famous
The Magical Legend of the Leprechaun
Gone With the Wind
Rock Star
Star Trek The Voyage Home
Miracle on 34th Street (the original)
Milo and Otis
Homeward Bound

How about that, that's ten. What do you like?

Sorry to read about your difficulties with movies. Is the internet ok? I like sillier movies than you, and was surprised to see Rock Star on your list.

Must be a royal pain with modern film makers' love of all things fast and flashy.

You have a Star Trek movie in there, so I'm with you on that :).

Homeward Bound was a great movie, as was the sequel.

Okay. You have It's a Wonderful Life on here. That alone makes this a great list. It's good to meet you! :)

A Wonderful Life is an annual requirement for me - it keeps me grounded to whats important in life, and reminds me of my dear brother - it was his favourite movie and he was a muscle-bound hulk! :D

"Star Trek: The Voyage Home" was one of my favs for the longest time. The reboot of the Star Trek series has taken it's place though (even though neither made my top 10). :3
