About Alexandra Heep:

Alexandra Heep is a longtime writer, chronic over-thinker, and recovering content mill survivor. Her work has appeared in literary journals, anthologies, and online platforms where words are still respected. She writes children’s books, health reflections, and the occasional blog post laced with humor and hard-won honesty. After years of illness, detours, and navigating the noise of modern wellness, she returned to writing with the firm belief that stories—like people—don’t have to be perfect to matter. She publishes under multiple pen names and drinks more goat milk than you’d expect.

Blogger Hates Me

NaBloWriMo is turning into Na Blah WriMo for me. Not because I do not enjoy writing or reading other people’s blogs, but because of technical difficulties. The blog roll on other people’s blogs, where they can see my current posts, only updates my posts several hours later, if at all. Some posts it skips altogether.
No, I do not schedule my posts (write them early, then set the timer to post at a later date), nor do I have the wrong time zone on my settings. Although, I have tried automatic posting to see if that would fix the problem. Alas, it only confused the little green men even more.

Now, I am not whining about not having enough readers or losing them because of the problems or anything. I simply do not like the fact that it looks like I am not following my commitment of posting every day for October. I do, I really do, but the thing is making me look like I don’t. I don’t like when things do not work the way they are supposed to without at least a plausible explanation, must be the German in me.

That is precisely why I schedule my posts to appear and the un-Godly hour of 4am. So it can be seen and sent out to email-ers and whatnot during the day. Gotta work the system...and then it'll just find another way to mess with ya!
