For two weeks, I am going to try to make better food choices, even
though we are on a tight budget and I consider myself above average in
food knowledge.
This is September 16, day 2.
We made grilled bison burgers for dinner. Now, I am not sure if they count as whole food, but they do have higher nutrients and less fat when compared to beef.
The big difference was in the way I made them.
The key points: Ground oats instead of bread crumbs, seasonings without MSG, almond milk instead of cow's milk, home-made pickles instead of mayonnaise.
Key findings: Store-bought bread crumbs might have MSG and corn syrup and the same might apply to seasoning mixes.
