Riding With Brad Keselowski - Again

One of my favorite NASCAR drivers, Brad Keselowski, is famous for being very interactive with his fans (especially via Twitter), and he even involves them, when he can. Last year, for example, he had a contest where people could get their Twitter handle on his truck that he raced in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. I even have a pic of it. (Mike W. is the one who figured out where my name was--look for the orange circle). How did Brad fare? Not well, he wrecked it.

Anyway, when I found out several months ago (on Twitter of course) that you could get your picture on Brad's car for the All Star race (held last Saturday), of course I had to participate. This is the pic I entered:

No, I don't drink, but Miller Lite is the major sponsor for BK's car, so I had Tom take a pic of me at The Stadium (local sports bar). He submitted a pic too:

Once all was processed, the website did let us search for our pics and gave us the coordinates. I was row 9, Column 24 look for the yellow mark):

Tom's pic appeared on row 52, column 47:

Why are our pics above and below the car? It's kind of hard to explain, but this mosaic poster was just for purchasing purposes. This was optional of course, getting your pic on the car was free.

Here is what the actual race car looked like.

(pic is from Nascar.com)

Unfortunately, we did not get to see much of it as on lap 3 Brad had to pull of the track with transmission problems. Sigh.

Brad is pretty cool for involving his fans the way he does. I think too many celebrity figures forget why they have the fame they enjoy.

And thank you for the mention Alex! :)
