Never say Never

A couple of years ago, when my daughter graduated, I took her to our favorite local restaurant called the Phoenician for a mom/daughter dinner. I almost did not take her, I remember the day was unbearably hot, humid, I had little money (or so I thought), and she was in a bad mood. But, I was glad I did because shortly after I lost my job, became sick, and she moved away. Who knew it would be the last time we got to do something together? This just shows that you should never put off spending time with someone you love.

Anyway, back then I said I was going to write a review because the place was so great. I never got around to it, nor did I think I would ever have the opportunity to go to this restaurant again. Well, today this opportunity arose and the food and service were as good as I remembered them. Not sure what made me do it, but I told the waiter I was a writer and had planned on writing up something about their place and put it online. The poor guy gave me his and the owner's email address so I can send a link. I have deadlines looming, so not sure why I said it. Alas, now I will have to do it because I said I would. But, where to post it? My blog does not look like much so ...

There are lots of restaurant "review" sites, Alex. If they have a FB page, there too. Glad you enjoyed your meal the second time around. :-)

good luck with it - and why not send the review to the local paper - you never know?!

And good advice - I'm up with my parents for the first time in a year and it is so great to see them
