I Love Tea!

I have always loved tea, from childhood on. We always had tea in our house, loose leaf and the teabag kind. I am not just talking black tea either, but also herbal tea. Peppermint, chamomile, and rosehip were my favorite at a very young age. And no, I did not add any sugar, strangely enough.

When I was a teenager, my best friend at the time introduced me to tea shops and the flavored black teas they sold. When others our age spent money on makeup, clothes, and hair products; we spent it on tea. One step inside one of these shops with the enticing smells and I was hooked. It still is one my favorite memories.
Now, I create my own concoctions and even steep things that aren’t considered tea. I put several tea bags of different flavors into one cup (like chamomile and lemon), slice up some ginger, and throw in a cinnamon stick for good measure. Yes, that makes very strong tea and no, I still do not put honey in (nor any other sweetener). Oh, I love honey, but I think it is wasted in tea. I eat it by the spoonful instead, especially when I have a sore throat.

It’s the one thing I look forward to when the weather turns damp and chilly – a nice, hot cup of tea. Well, on those days it’s more like a whole pot of it.

Alex, I think you're getting it. Write about what you know, not what you think others want to hear. Not that I have a huge audience----but hey it's got to get better.
Interesting, made me want to get a cup of tea!!

Thanks Kate. Besides, our content won't disappear and stays on the Internet, so who knows what may happen in the future.

Ooh, I love me some tea on cool days and cold nights too. Herbal is the best. That reminds me to go get the last of the mint before Jack Frost comes by and zaps it all. ;-)

Me too, Alex. I must have inherited this preference from my mom. While enjoying the smell of coffee, I have never been able to drink it. My hubby even made the switch!

I have been a tea lover for years. I begin every day with a pot of Lipton tea ( 2 bags} I even have a tea cozy..and drink the entire pot myself. I have to stop drinking tea at 3:00 Pm or else it keeps me awake at night.Another favorite tea is Chaii and a red Rubossa {I know I didn't spell those right.}
Well, thats enough about tea leaves, unless you have had them read too.LOL
