A to Z Challenge 2019: A is for Alpacas
Alpacas! I love those guys, but I am not sure when it began. It wasn't that long ago because I only found out about them a few years ago. I think it was when Tom drove past an alpaca farm on his way to work and told me about it. I looked online to see where it was, and that's how it began.
Luckily, we have three alpaca farms, all within an hour from where we live. We have been to only one of the farms, numerous times. They are social animals, but they do shy away a bit when you reach for them, unless they know you. I did get to pet and even hug some of them! I've also written an article about alpacas but am still waiting for it to sell. They are related to llamas but are smaller. Alpacas are also related to camels, and all three animals are considered caemelids.
Have you ever met an alpaca?

Well done! Hope you have a good A to Z month!
