What's Your Chocolate?

I love blog fests and I love chocolate even more. So when the two came together and the blog fest was announced a while ago, I had to jump on it. The hardest part was to narrow it down ... Now when I say I love chocolate, I mean the "real" kind, not the stuff that is unbearably sweet with corn syrup or tons of added sugar and other crap. I want to taste the cocoa!

However, I also love white chocolate and I know it's not really chocolate at all. My favorite would be a combination of the two, white and milk or dark. The creamier, the better, and please - hold the nuts!

One of my favorite desserts is called church windows, I even won a baking contest with it once. It's mostly a seasonal recipe and it does have nuts in it, pecans really, but it is easy to make and very visually appealing.  You can find the recipe online under the name cathedral windows.

  1. So, can we call you the church window lady? And then you can make some to share with everyone!

  3. Awesome. You won a baking contest? Gosh. I'm just happy when the fire department doesn't have to visit while I'm cooking! lOL!

  8. Hi Alex - sounds an interesting recipe - I'll be over to look at it. The chocolate blogfest has reminded me of things I don't think about often .. so now I have a few chocolate wishes - they'll have to be put on the back burner! I can indulge at Christmas ...

    Cheers Hilary

  9. No nuts with my chocolate either! My husband would love something with pecans in it though.

  11. The worst chocolate is still better than just about anything else. The cathedral windows recipe looks pretty tasty.
